I just received these boots today, put them on, and was immediately satisfied. The picture you see makes the uppers look a little more detailed than they actual are new in the box. That is perfect for me!! This is a classic design that is well put together. The fit is very true to posted size (it's hard to buy shoes off the internet sometimes). I was also very happy with the soles of these boots. They are rubber and great for everyday wear. Although I am not a "true cowboy" and don't know everything there is to know about boots I do know that these are a wonderful purchase for the price you pay!

1. The boots are extremely poor quality:
A. I only wear them as a costume for my country band gigs; after only 16 2-hr sessions half the heel broke off the right boot. Upon examination I discovered the heels are made of CARDBOARD!!
2. The company's service is TERRIBLE!!
A. They initially delivered the wrong boots. It was only after several weeks of repeated phone calls (for which I paid, since they have no 800 number!!) during which I was repeatedly left on hold and never once called back!! that I finally received the correct boots.
B. I have never received any reply to my complaints about the faulty boots.
My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
